I have read many books by Jo Davis. I have liked them all. Her plots are good. Her characters are good people who make you want to meet and be friends with them. Her characters have great camaraderie among themselves.

I feel this book is very different from her usual books. It starts out with a flash forward that is startling. Then the two lead characters, Angel and Tonio, jump into bed almost immediately after just meeting. There's little build up of lust or affection. The amount of violence and torture in this book really turned me off. I've never read any book by Jo Davis that was so violent. I never expected that from her.

If this is going to be a new style of writing for Ms. Davis, I feel she has every right to do so. It is just not something I personally want to read.

Jo Davis has done a great job again with the new book in the Sugarland Blue series. Lots of suspense. The characters were great.
Once again this book knocks it out of the park! I loved Tonio and he was so strong and brave and sexy but sensitive! I hope there's a lot more in the series. I love the relationship of the characters and the suspense!
On the Run isn't the best in the series but it's still worth the read. The book definitely picks up the pace towards the end. Looking forward to the next book in the series and hopeful it's a 5 star.
I gave it four stars (which is high for me). However, I almost gave it three because I personally hate books that start at the end and then go backwards (prologue was a suspenseful scene with no closure and then chapter one was "three weeks earlier"). I spent the majority of the book with a black cloud over my head because we knew sooner or later To nio was going to end up beaten in the dumpster. Still, it was a good read.
